Annual Fourth of July Celebration in Coral Springs

The Fourth of July also known as Independence Day is a federal holiday in the great United States. This day honors the endorsement of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

The Fourth of July is a patriotic day commonly celebrated with fireworks, family reunions, picnics, barbecues, ceremonies and just fun activities. Many will take advantage of the holiday and plan for a long weekend to plan and participate in all the family and friend fun!

If you have a dog, you know that this is likely one of the worst days for being a doggie with all the cracking and popping of the fireworks. I know I feel so bad every year for my doggie as he struggles through this day and the approaching and lagging days of the 4th.

This year at its annual Fourth of July celebration the City of Coral Springs will host a grand fireworks show that will begin on the dot at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4th at Mullins Park.

Prior to the show, beginning at 6:00 p.m. you can come for fun and food as food trucks and refreshments will be at the park for purchase. Please know that the Firework show is free but you’ll have to pay $3 for parking at either the Coral Springs Gymnasium, Mullins Park or the Center for the Arts. It’s important to remember that you need to leave your pets at home along with your own personal fireworks and alcoholic beverages.

Mullins Park is located at 10000 Ben Geiger Drive (N.W. 29th Street). For more information, please call 954-345-2200.
