Why Mount Dora?
I have been visiting the historical city of Mount Dora with my family for about 5 years now. We fell in love instantly.; the historic charm, the walkability, the beautiful architecture and surrounding nature, bird lovers paradise, good eats and fabulous coffee, antique and retail shops and more!
Then, 1 year ago in 2025, I said to my husband – let’s move to Mount Dora! I listed our home for sale in south Florida, where I had been selling homes for 20 years, selling it fast and for top dollar!
Here in Mount Dora when we arrived, we rented a wonderful AIRBNB from a lovely couple, who have now become our good friends! I’m a walker – you might have met me on my walks up and down the historic streets, as I spoke to everyone I passed asking them if they knew of anyone selling a home in Mount Dora. Fast forward, we finally found a home to buy and are settling in nicely. With my real estate negotiation skills, I was even able to buy our home below its appraised value; instant equity that any home buyer welcomes!
